TRIBUTE TO DOMINIONI
To mark the occasion of the 2018 Maison et Objet this September, the B&B Italia Flagship store in Rue du Bac 35 celebrates the debut on the French market of the acclaimed Luigi Caccia Dominioni collection, a selection of original iconic products created by one of Italy’s most prominent exponents of post-war design and architecture.
The store will assign the entrance area and store windows to show a series of emblematic products by Luigi Caccia Dominioni from the late 40ies to 70ies, like the Catilina chair (1958), a milestone in the history of Italian design.
On display also the ABCD and Toro armchairs and sofas, the Chinotto armchair, the Cilindro ottoman, the Nonaro outdoor seating system, the tables and small tables Cavalletto, Fasce Cromate and Fascia Specchiata. Finally a series of lamps: Base Ghisa, Monachella, Imbuto and Lampada Poltrona.
Luigi Caccia Dominioni belonged to the small group of architects who were the forerunners and founders of Italian design, which was profoundly changed by their work characterized by a rare combination of expressive rigor and the mastery of a formal language and technological knowledge.
